Oso is the brainchild of a dynamic duo—Claudia Roman and Matt Dupee, a charming husband-wife team hailing from diverse backgrounds. Claudia is from Chile, and Matt is from Southern Ontario. Eventually, their journey led them to the island, where they embarked on a family and culinary adventure with Oso. Since its inception, Oso has been on an exhilarating expansion ride, in their first year they have graced markets across town, established a presence in the Coho Commissary, and even earned a coveted two-page spread in Faces magazine. Now, just after celebrating their first birthday, they are opening their first location at the Bay Centre. Their endeavours haven’t gone unnoticed, with nominations for various accolades in Victoria and their audience is so thrilled to see them branch out to become more accessible to a wider audience.
